FAQs:

1. How do I log in to the App?

  • During sign-up, you should have created an app account password.

  • Download the Betr Health App.

  • Use your email and the password you created during sign-up to log in.

  • If your login information does not work, reach out to our Ask Us team by clicking on the small blue circle in the bottom right. www.betrhealth.com.

2. In addition to the mobile app, is there a website app?

  • Yes! The new features of the app can also be accessed from laptops, desktops, and iPads.

If you would like to watch a how-to for a specific portion of the app, you can follow the link below and search by Chapter to jump ahead to any part of the tutorial you would like. Just click the 3 lines at the bottom of the video to reveal the Chapter List.

3. How do I log my day?

  • Go to the “+” button on the bottom of your screen (top if you are on the desktop).

  • You will see several actions that you will be able to log (ie: weight, food, physical activity, water, etc). Choose which action you wish to log.

  • Fill in the information needed, and click “submit”. The more information you log each day, the more the team will be able to provide helpful recommendations throughout your journey.

  • We are still working through some of the issues for daily logging. In the meantime, we have some options for you outlined below while we work on resolving those issues.

4. Where can find the meal planner and planning sheet in the app?

  • You can find these resources in the website version of the app and get to it via the member’s area.

  • To access the Meal Planning worksheet, head on over to the community and go to Prep Phase. Once there, it is post #8.

5. How do I reset my app password?

Click the “reset password” button below the login section. Please check your spam folder for the email. If you do not receive it please message the Ask Us team on Betrhealth.com OR you can reach out via email to [email protected].

6. Where do I sign up for group calls within the new app?

You can register at the bottom of your insights page once logged into the app to find the group calls at any time. You can also register via these links:

7. Where can I find group call recordings?

  • It is best to listen to these calls live so you can ask questions but if you are unable to attend you can message the Ask Us team in the bottom-right corner for a recording of any of the group calls.

8. How do I change my start date within the new app?

  • To change your start date please go to the Insights tab and click the More Info arrow under Quick Profile. Scroll down to the Phase section and click Edit to pick your new start date. Your start date must be on a Monday and if it will be further out than 1 week please contact the Ask Us team.

9. How do I change my email or phone number?

Please message the Ask Us team in the bottom right corner with the info you would like updated.

10. When I log my food, I can’t find the appropriate food tag

  • We understand and are frequently adding to our library of food tags.

    • In the meantime, we encourage you to upload your food pictures and select the closest tag/tags of the main protein or vegetable.

`11. When should I use the mobile app versus the desktop app?

  • The mobile app is best for logging food photos and chatting with your coach.

  • Everything you log and enter will be available in both the mobile and desktop app.

12. How do I access the Community?

  • The Betr Community is a great place to share recipes, inspiration, and encouragement with your fellow Betr members.

  • To access, simply go to the Community section on your app, indicated by the icon here.

13. How do I stop email notifications coming from the community?

  • To manage your notifications on the community page click your profile icon in the top right corner.

  • Then select "Notifications" and toggle on or off whatever notifications you want!

14. Where can I find the Meal Plans and Recipes?

  • You can find them on the Discover tab in the My Nourishment section.

15. Where do I find the Level 1 Food List?

  • You can find it on the Discover tab in both the mobile and desktop app!

16. How do I sync my scale?

  • If you joined the program via your health insurance you will be sent a complimentary cellular scale.

  • All Digital Scales are preconfigured to sync to the app via cellular service embedded inside the scale as soon as you step on it.

  • If you are having issues syncing your scale to the Betr app, please reach out to the Ask Us team!

  • If you don’t have a cellular or digital scale, you can still manually log your weight in the app.


17. Is my Fitbit data syncing?

  • Fitbit data is currently not syncing unless you are connected to:

    • Apple Health

    • Google Fit

  • Until that time, we ask that you manually enter your activity on either the desktop or mobile app by selecting the + button for Activity or Steps.

18. How do I log my food?

  • Logging your food is best done on the mobile app


19. What if I forget to log something?

No worries! When you go to log an action, you can go back and choose the correct date and time. Your insights page will also indicate pieces of missing information, which you can add directly to by selecting the “+” sign.

20. Why is my coach chat grayed out?

If your coaching has not started, then the coach chat will be grayed out. Once your coaching begins and your coach messages you for the first time, your chat will open up for two-way communication. You can find your coaching start date under “more info” on the Insights Page.

21. What is the Word Cloud?

Your word cloud on your insights page is a resource for you and your coach to quickly see the foods that you have been enjoying over the past couple of days.

22. Where can I go for help?

  • The Ask Us team is a great place if you have any questions. You can find it on the bottom right corner of your screen on desktop and mobile

  • Or you can email [email protected]

  • If you are still in your first month and have any questions regarding your meal plan or nutrition, it is best to reach out to your personal coach through the app.
