Beef is one of the recommended items on our Level 1 food list and is an excellent source of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. All of these can have a positive impact on overall health. With that being said, some people are more sensitive to beef and may have to limit or eliminate regular consumption in order to maintain a healthy body weight. In order to ensure the proper monitoring of frequency and weight, we ask that members provide daily food pictures and scale measurements.

Beef can be a great addition to any meal that's healthy and tasty. However, it is important to understand the potential risks associated with regular consumption. Studies have shown that overconsumption of beef can lead to anything from increased cholesterol levels to obesity. We want our members to be aware of these potential consequences and to be mindful of their overall intake.

We highly recommend limiting consumption of beef to no more than two servings per week. When preparing your meals, consider adding more vegetables and lean proteins that are recommended on our Level 1 food list. This is always a good way to diversify your meals and keep things interesting as you work on reaching the goals of the meal plan.
