At Betr Health, our goal is to provide delicious, fresh meals to your home to make your life easier. All of our meals arrive FRESH, never frozen, and fully prepared. Once they arrive refrigerate or freeze your meals immediately.

What time will my meals be delivered?

Delivery times will vary, but all meals will be delivered at the latest, Sunday morning.

How long does it take to receive my meals?

Because our meals are delivered fresh and not frozen, the timing of the deliveries is based on weekly deadlines. Each delivery will arrive on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday of each week. All orders must be submitted by Sunday at 11:59 am ET in order to be delivered by that upcoming weekend. Depending on shipping, they could be delivered at the latest Sunday morning. They will stay fresh until then!

Will they be delivered fresh or frozen?

All Betr meals are delivered fresh and fully prepared 🙂

How do I store my meals?

You are welcome to enjoy the Betr meals stored in your refrigerator up to the date stamped. The extended shelf life is due to the food being packaged in a modified atmosphere system. If you find that you will not partake of all the meals during that time, it is best to store any extra in the freezer to ensure food safety.

Best practices for freezing me meals!

Our 5-star chef explains the best practices are to spoon or fork out your desired portions onto a plate and microwave one minute per serving size but to use your own judgment on how you like things cooked depending on your microwave. Each tray is considered four serving sizes and therefore a whole tray would be four minutes in the microwave.

If using the oven he suggests 10 minutes per tray on 350 but to check frequently for the desired temperature, covered is best with tinfoil.

  • Chicken 4-5 Minutes Microwave Or 10 Min at 350 In Oven

  • Shrimp 2-4 Minutes Microwave Or 7 Min at 350 In Oven

  • Eggplant 2-4 Minutes Microwave Or 10 Min at 350 In Oven

  • Zoodles & Meatballs 4-5 Minutes Microwave Or 10 Min at 350 In Oven

  • Side Vegetables 2-4 Minutes Microwave Or 10 Min at 350 In Oven

Kristi’s recommendations after portioning out the meals into individual servings to store in the freezer. “I’m set for proteins the rest of the month that I don’t have to cook!”

She used a FoodSaver vacuum sealer similar to this one to store goods in the freezer. (Ziplock sealed bags will also work well).

She recommends using 80″x20′ sized bags.

How do I heat my meals?

The best reheating practices are to spoon out your desired portion onto a plate and microwave one minute per serving size, to to use your own judgement on how you like things cooked depending on your microwave. If using a conventional oven, cover in tin foil and heat for ten minutes per tray on 375 degrees and check frequently. See More.

How many servings are in each tray?

Each meal should equate to 4 adult-sized portions. You should also prepare a side item, like a salad, to go with each meal.

Do I still need to grocery shop?

We recommend grabbing fresh produce to accompany your meal delivery trays. Grocery shopping for fresh fruit for your snacks, and raw vegetables for salads will complete your plan for the week!
