Weekend Preparation: How to Navigate Social Obligations

Weekends may seem like a break from work and productivity, but with social obligations, it can become difficult to stay on track. That’s why it’s important to plan ahead and make sure you’re prepared to succeed!

Having a successful weekend depends on creating a routine and sticking to it. With the right preparations and structure, you can make sure you don’t lose track of your goals and tasks.

Weekend Survival Guide

It’s finally the weekend, time for some fun! 🎉

Staying on a plan during a regularly scheduled week can be stable to navigate through, but the weekends can get a little tricky.

Often times there’s eating out and attending social gatherings which may not always have options approved for your meal plan.

Here are some strategies to prep for any weekend obstacles:

  1. Let your friends and family know you are currently following a food list for the Betr program. This way when you’re eating together they can help pick out a restaurant or prepare meals with a selection of approved foods. Support is 100% beneficial!

  2. Take a fruit snack with you just in case there are tempting off-plan snack foods around you like chips, candy, etc. It’s easier to fight the temptation when you have a snack of your own with you.

  3. If you are going to be eating foods off the list, try to still eat nutritiously. Avoid processed foods that will most likely cause weight gain and/or symptoms like headache, bloating, irritable bowel movement, etc.

Try your best to dodge any potential blockers to your success and be sure to keep up with your water, supplements, and app uploads as normal.

If you fall off the wagon over the weekend, notify your coach on Monday so you two can make a plan for getting back on track.

Get in your shopping, create your meal plan, and keep looking forward.

You’ve got this!
