SWEET MUSTARD CHICKEN WINGS

Golden, crispy, sweet and tangy?? It’s no wonder this is one of my favorite level 1 recipes, probably of all time. The wings have a PERFECT crunch. It’s very difficult to share these even for the most generous of heart, trust me.

LEVEL 1

Makes 1 protein serving.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup Organic Dijon Mustard

  • 12 Chicken Wings

  • 10 drops of Clear Liquid Stevia

  • 2 tbsp. Onion Powder

  • 2 tbsp. Garlic Powder

  • 3 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes

  • 1 Lemon

Directions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Add mustard, stevia, onion powder, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes into a bowl.

  3. Squeeze lemon juice into bowl. Mix with dry ingredients to complete sauce.

  4. Smother chicken wings in the mustard sauce.

  5. Pop into the oven for 45 minutes, 60 for extra crispy.

Health Coach Tip: Look for mustards that are colored with turmeric. I found a dijon mustard that’s colored with it. Whole Food’s 365 organic mustard is colored with turmeric. It’s a root similar to ginger with outstanding health benefits. One particularly is it’s anti-inflammatory benefits.
