Why You Should Reach for Fruit Rather than Nutrition Bars

Nutrition bars are known to be a good on-the-go snack when you don't have time to prepare one in advance. They are definitely a better option than hitting a drive-thru for some fries, but they aren't as beneficial as grabbing fruit instead.

Here's why:

Fruits are a natural source of energy and contain many vitamins and minerals that are easily absorbed and used by the body. They are also whole foods (unlike nutrition bars) and therefore a great source of fiber, important for digestive health. Eating a piece of fruit is much better for you than choosing a processed nutrition bar with hidden sugars, artificial ingredients, and energy-boosting additives. Eating a piece of fruit a day is an easy and delicious way to maintain your health.

Remember, an apple a day keeps the doctor away!

Conclusion

Choosing fruit over nutrition bars is a much healthier option. Fruits are a great source of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and energy. Eating a piece of fruit every day will help maintain your overall health, keeping health doctors like Dr. Ferro happy.
