Halloween is just around the corner! It's an exciting time for the whole family, but it can be difficult to stay on track when you're surrounded by sweets. Don't worry, we have some helpful tips to get you through the holiday and continue your success with the Betr program.

1. Have a plan when you pick out your candy

When you go to the store to buy your candy for trick-or-treaters, choose some that aren't your personal favorites so that you won't be tempted. It'll help stop you from nibbling on Halloween night.

2. Wait to buy your candy

Don’t keep candy around the house for longer than you need to. Wait until Halloween day or the night before to go to the store and stock your treats. The less time it is in your house, the less temptation you will have.

3. Eat beforehand

Make sure to have a meal or healthy snack before you trick or treat. If you're not going out until later that night, plan your dinner schedule accordingly.

4. Treat yourself responsibly

If you end up getting a little off track, don't stress. There's nothing wrong with treating yourself a bit on Halloween. Pick 1-2 pieces of your favorite candy and enjoy them. Just try not to go completely overboard!

5. Get back on track the next day

If you do have some candy or other sweets on Halloween, make sure to start back up strong the next day on your plan. Be honest with your coach about it, and make sure you let them know if you're feeling any symptoms (nausea, bloating, headache, etc).

Above all, we hope you have a fun, safe, and SPOOOOKY NIGHT!
