Eating to Support Your Health Goals

Eating is an important part of health and nutrition, and being mindful of your eating habits is key to meeting your health goals. No matter what these goals may be, it is important that you take into consideration your body's feedback when it comes to hunger.

We recognize that something you may be embarking on may require you to follow a meal plan, and we want to make sure that it is manageable. Our general guideline is to strive to eat 2 hours after you wake up and then every 2-3 hours until bedtime. We want to remind you that if you are not particularly hungry that you should adjust your portions accordingly, but still make sure to get some protein, veggies, and even some fruit snacks to maintain an even blood glucose level. This way you can prevent your body from going into starvation mode and having strong cravings later on.

It is natural to have your appetite decrease as you go along with your program as you become more accustomed to nutrient-dense foods, and if you find yourself struggling to eat according to your plan, we encourage you to take stock of your feelings and see if there is something else you need.

We want to make eating for health a positive experience and recognize that you are the best person to listen to what your body needs.
