Understanding Magnesium and Vitamin D as They Relate to Health

Researchers have said "Magnesium plays an essential role in the synthesis and metabolism of vitamin D" BMC Med. The issue is 50% of Americans don't consume enough magnesium National Institutes of Health (NIH).

One of the best ways to ensure you are absorbing magnesium and not flushing it out is to absorb it through your skin. I'm a big fan of OM Botanical products which are so natural you can eat them:) Here is a link to their magnesium cream.
They also make an all-natural deodorant that also has magnesium.

The bottom line is a healthy digestive system will improve the absorption of all vitamins and minerals. Having the full spectrum in your system will allow them to interact properly together to correct imbalances. We oftentimes try to overcorrect and that can have other consequences. It's about balance.
