The first few days of your program you may experience “detox” symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, fatigue, lightheadedness, or moodiness. These symptoms vary for everyone and are dependent on the type of foods consumed prior to the program. Keep up with your water intake and get adequate rest during the first few days of the program. Once excess carbohydrates, sugar, and processed foods are eliminated, you will likely begin to feel your body responding to the program with more energy, better sleep, reduced cravings, moodiness and anxiety. If symptoms are persistent and/or severe, be sure to consult with your coach and/or your primary care physician.
