Why Level 2?

Level 2 is the next step in the healing process after the full body reset of level 1.

Completion of the level 1 purification cycle has already prepared your body for this process in several ways.

  1. The calming foods consumed during the first few weeks have kept your body in a clean and non-inflammatory state. By eliminating mental, physical, and chemical stress during this time your organs, cells, and tissues have regenerated themselves. This means your digestive system is functioning at its highest levels so new foods can easily be introduced.

  2. Weight loss in the form of excess fat and toxins have been released so there is much less stress on your joints and muscles. And improvements in sleep has replenished the hormones needed for fitness performance and creation of lean muscle so adding in more rigorous exercise now is very effective.

During level 2 the replenishment cycle is designed to reset your metabolism and lock in a new set point that your body can automatically maintain. Without re-setting your metabolism you run the risk of falling into the all too familiar yo-yo dieting pattern where your body constantly struggles to recover lost weight. During this process you will:

  1. Reinforce and strengthen your new habit of eating the right food combinations to fuel your body efficiently.

  2. Identify food sensitivities that you may not have been aware of prior to the program that may have a negative impact on your body.

We will pin point food sensitivities that take place in the digestive system. They occur when you are unable to properly breakdown or process a food. When a food irritates your stomach, or your body can't properly digest it you may experience common symptoms like gas, bloating, nausea, skin rash, low energy, headaches, irritability. You may even recall experiencing some of these symptoms prior to starting the program but the calming foods of level 1 have eliminated them.

As you begin to expand your food choices the goal is to learn which foods -- and how much – may cause you to have symptoms. You may be sensitive or intolerant to a food for a variety of reasons, including not having the right enzymes to digest them. You can elect to avoid the food altogether or have as much as you can without triggering any symptoms.

The level 2 protocol for reintroducing foods makes it easy to identify issues that may have a negative impact on your body. Some common symptoms for food sensitivities include gas or bloat, low energy, headache, nausea, rash, itchy skin or eyes.  After completing level 1 your gut health is fully restored so food sensitivities are usually detected within 30 mins after consuming the food.  It may be that you can have a certain amount of a food before it becomes a trigger or you may not be able to tolerate it at all.
