We want to make sure you enjoy your Betr Meals at their best, so here we have provided our recommended best practices for reheating, freezing, and EATING!

Are you looking for some menu-specific recipe suggestions? The menu below has some recommendations for preparing and pairing some of our favorite Betr Meals!

We know that sometimes our appliances can have a mind of their own. These best practices are just suggestions and should be adjusted based on your preferences*and the variability between individual microwaves or stoves.


MICROWAVE

  • Put desired serving into a microwave-safe dish (remember, each tray = 4 servings!)

  • Microwave a single serving for 1 minute (four minutes for a whole tray)

  • Adjust based on your specific appliance and preferences*

OVEN

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

  • Put desired serving into an oven-safe dish (remember, each tray = 4 servings!)

  • Cover food with foil

  • Cook for 7-10 minutes, or to your desired temperature*

STOVETOP

  • Spray skillet or appropriate sized pot with grapeseed oil or low sodium broth to reduce sticking

  • Place desired servings into the pot over medium heat

  • Cook for 3-5 minutes or to your desired temperature*

FREEZING

  • ALL of our meals (including veggies) are FREEZER FRIENDLY!

  • Separate each tray into individual servings (each tray = 4 servings)

  • Place individual servings into appropriately sized freezer bags

  • Freeze

DEFROSTING

  • We recommend defrosting your desired servings in the refrigerator for 5-6 hours.

REHEATING FROM FROZEN

  • Instant-Pot:

    • Remove portion from the freezer bag

    • Place desired servings into Insta-Pot

    • Add ½ cup of low sodium, organic vegetable broth

    • Steam for 7-10 minutes, or to your desired temperature*

  • Stovetop:

    • Remove portion from the freezer bag

    • Place desired servings into a pot or pan

    • Add ⅓ cup of low sodium, organic vegetable broth

    • Cover and cook on LOW for 10-15 minutes, or to your desired temperature*
